Who we are

​

Calling the Cowichan Valley our home is one of the things we are most thankful for. Surrounded by fruit and vegetable farms, dairy farmers and wineries, our little farm is one of many to produce wonderful food to be shared with our Vancouver Island community.

When we purchased our 9,5 farm in 2012, we did not quite know what it would hold for us. It just felt amazing to buy this beautiful place which includes a second growth forest, an abundance of fresh water, fields and sunshine.

As it happened, Paul Plenti, aka Mobetta Herbs, came into our lives in 2016 and started growing his amazing greens on our farm. Watching him inspired me and I started to play with the idea of producing food. It feels meaningful, peaceful and just right. We all love the balance of hard work, nature, adventures and home - so it made perfect sense to start our own official farm.

Here we are in the midst  it:

Mike - the energetic, optimistic man who is always all in to create something awesome.

Emmy - who just accepts it all and loves to harvest fruit and veggies as she pleases.

Hanna - who explores her skills of harvesting, but really gets distracted by all of the loving animals.

Me, Julia - who feels just at the right place at the right time.
